My little puppy, Lily, isn’t much of a puppy anymore. She’ll be four in the spring, but she is my perpetual puppy and my companion these days. She goes with me just about everywhere. On days when I can’t take her along (too long in the car and it’s cold out) my youngest watches her for me. Doggy daycare.

She never complains, she never asks for a thing except to go potty and eat. She barks, but not nearly as much as you might imagine, and she is usually barking to “protect” me. For the first few years of her life, I wasn’t a good doggie mommy. My youngest did all the doggie raising – potty training, nail clipping, etc. Now that my daughter has moved out, I am learning how to be a good doggie mommy. She makes it pretty easy. Although I do need to get her nails trimmed.
And then there’s Timmy – my mom’s cat. He’s such a good natured cat. He actually loves Lily. He’s a good sport too. Easy to please. All you need is a little “snack” of kitty food. He looks a little underfed, doesn’t he?

Thought I’d share with you some random pics of the last few days before Christmas. Other than that, I don’t have much to say besides I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, whatever your religious affiliation or lack of one, whether it’s summer or winter wherever you are, whether you’re with family or single, I pray that you are serene, joyful, and content.
Found these at Walmart.
Just kidding. That’s Maxie snuggled inside the bag. She’s more the bag hider than her sister, Marie.
Daisy Mae, our littlest lady Chihuahua, with a little attitude. Notice the tongue?
And, Daisy, getting in on the wrapping action. We found out that when we weren’t looking, she was tasting the wrapping paper.
Heading to BabiesRUs to look at replacement cribs for pregnant daughter. I’m squished between the two car seats and the two handsome grand-boys. (Grateful that my butt will squish between them now.) Having some fun with the self-portraits and making silly faces.
Evan prefers his hand over making a silly face.
Sweet story: On the way to get me, he was saying “Mimi” all the way there and according to his mommy, he was worried and stressed out that they weren’t coming to Mimi’s house. Aww. I love that boy.
Lily watching me wrap presents.
My favorite ornament, and favorite word.
Hope you all have a great holiday and that all the Santa’s get a little shut-eye.
